Wastewater is a product of the the community. Everyone, households as well as businesses, generates wastewater. One of our most crucial tasks is to treat the wastewater so it can be discharged into the water environment without causing harm. This involves ensuring that the wastewater is safely directed to the treatment plants and that the processes at the plants are efficient.
Wastewater contains many nutrients and other substances that are not beneficial to the water environment. Therefore, it is essential to have a well-functioning and efficient sewer system capable of transporting wastewater to our treatment plants. When the water reaches the treatment plants, it is equally important that the machinery is efficient enough to remove the environmentally harmful substances before discharging the water back into nature.
BlueKolding’s treatment plants comply with all the requirements set by the Environmental Protection Agency for wastewater treatment. In fact, we purify the water even better than required. We also do everything in our power to maintain the 2,200 kilometers of sewers that transport the water to the plants to ensure that the wastewater ends up in the right places.
